Our hope for the Feeding Northeast Georgia Mobile Food Pantry is that we are able to ease the hunger of hundreds of families in our community, including the counties near our own. Clarke County neighbors us and is home to one of the most food insecure communities in our state. Nearly 20% of the county, that’s over 25,000 people, falls below the food insecurity rate. With each food truck, we can feed up to 400 families by providing 10-12 days worth of food. We are grateful for the UGA Wesley Foundation for their desire to also impact our community and to the students who faithfully serve at this food truck each week.
